Here’s the thing about the location — it’s not right in the old town, and that’s actually perfect if you want to experience Cluj-Napoca like someone who lives there. The walk to the city center takes about 15 minutes (I timed it), but honestly, the neighborhood has its own rhythm. There’s a small grocery store two blocks away, and the local restaurant on the corner serves some of the best mici I had during my entire Romanian trip.

What Works Really Well

The hosts clearly understand what travelers need. Free parking right outside — and in Romania, that’s not always guaranteed even at expensive hotels. The Wi-Fi actually works properly (I had video calls without issues), and they left detailed instructions for everything from the washing machine to the best bus routes into town.
