Here’s the thing about staying in this part of Cluj-Napoca — you’re actually living like a local for a few days. The three-star rating doesn’t tell the whole story because the location gives you something most hotels can’t: a genuine feel for Romanian daily life. I mean, there’s a small grocery store just down the street where the owner started recognizing me by day three. The city center is easily reachable, but honestly, I found myself enjoying the quieter residential vibe more than I expected.

The Space

The room — well, it’s more of a proper apartment setup — surprised me with how thoughtfully it’s arranged. Everything feels intentional rather than just thrown together. The kitchen isn’t just for show either; I actually cooked a few meals there using ingredients from that local market I mentioned. The 9.3 rating starts making sense when you realize how rare it is to find a place that feels this much like a temporary home rather than just somewhere to sleep.

Daily Life Here

Mornings became this lovely routine of making coffee in my own space and planning the day without rushing past a hotel breakfast crowd. The neighborhood wakes up slowly, and there’s something really calming about watching Cluj-Napoca come to life from your window. I discovered a small restaurant about ten minutes away that serves the kind of Romanian food you’d never find in tourist areas — the owner’s grandmother’s recipes, apparently.

Look, Andrea Apartments isn’t trying to impress you with fancy lobbies or concierge services. What it offers instead is something increasingly hard to find: an authentic experience that doesn’t feel manufactured for tourists. The parking situation is straightforward (which, if you’ve driven in Romanian cities, you’ll appreciate), and the whole setup just works without any fuss. It’s the kind of place where you actually feel sad to leave because you’ve gotten comfortable in a real way, not just pampered for a few nights.

  I absolutely loved our stay! I almost didn’t want to go out, I just wanted to stay and relax there! The apartment is perfect, the location is ideal, central yet quiet. It’s truly the perfect accommodation!

  The cat was very cute, the location is optimal and near the centre. Definitely great if you’re traveling with like 2 people
  
  What could be improved: We were not with 2 but with a group of 4. The apartment is nice but on the small side and the ‘table’ (which is a fold-out thingy in the living room) is very small and kinda hard to eat at when you’re with a bigger group. Also, hot and cold seem to be switched in the shower but whatever. Still a nice stay and very clean apartment!
