First Impressions

BDApartments sits right on Piața Mihai Viteazu — honestly, you can’t get much more central than this in Cluj-Napoca. I’ll admit, finding apartment 6B downstairs took me a minute (the entrance is a bit tucked away), but once you’re inside, this four-star place really delivers on the promise of being your own little Romanian hideaway.

The Space

What struck me most was how this apartment manages to feel both spacious and cozy at the same time. The kitchen is actually functional — I mean, you could cook a proper meal here, not just heat up leftovers. The living area flows naturally into the sleeping space, and there’s this nice balance of modern touches with some distinctly Romanian character that doesn’t feel forced or touristy.

Location & Neighborhood

You know what’s great about staying on this square? Everything happens around you, but somehow the apartment stays surprisingly quiet. The historic center unfolds right outside your door — I’m talking about real cobblestone streets and those beautiful Austro-Hungarian buildings Cluj-Napoca is known for. Plus, you’re literally walking distance from the best restaurants and that famous St. Michael’s Church that everyone photographs.

Daily Life Here

Morning coffee runs become this little ritual when you’re staying here. There’s a local café just around the corner where the barista actually remembers your order after two days (trust me on this one). The apartment setup means you can grab groceries from the nearby market and have a proper breakfast in, or you can just step outside and be in the middle of everything within seconds.

I think what makes BDApartments work so well is that 9.1 rating really reflects the experience — it’s not trying to be something it’s not. You get independence, a great location, and that feeling of actually living in Cluj-Napoca rather than just passing through.   Very spacious, good location, clean, coffee pods and small kitten inside the garden!
  
  What could be improved: It was very humid but they have a dehumidifier and I guess that’s how the properties are in the area 🙂 and it rained a lot these days so it’s okay

  Located in the center of Cluj, just one minute from a grocery store. The apartment is really comfortable and spacious.
  
  What could be improved: However, the apartment was too dark and quite humid. Our clothes didn’t dry in two days because of it. Also, the bathroom is small, which was a bit inconvenient.

  Exactly as described and place feels cosy. Great central location with supermarket 1 min away. The espresso coffee machine is a great touch to the kitchen 🙂 Hosts organised a slightly earlier check in to allow me to drop off my bags and they responded promptly to the messages sent. Would absolutely return if I visit Cluj again
  Important to note front door gets locked with a hook rather than a key at night – there is a small wheel like thing on the other door which needs turning to open the main door at night. I'll attach pictures as it took me a while to figure it out 🙂
  
  What could be improved: Nothing that made me unhappy just a few nice to haves:
  Kitchen has everything but could not find a bottle opener…although considering how equipted the place was wouldn't surprise me if a guest left with it.
  A iron board and iron would be the only place the flat is missing.
  There are some neighbours who are a bit nosy but nothing that ruined my stay.

  Absolutely everything, the apartment is so central, walking distance to everything. It's big and modern, all the amenities are present. The host answered all my questions, self check in is easy. If you see this property available, look no further, book it right away. You will Thank yourself later.

  The apartment is big, clean, well equipted and located in one of the city main central squares, but still quiet as it is on the other side of the building.
  The check-in procedure is simple, with a code offered for the keys box you can find at the entrance.
  
  What could be improved: I would have liked to have windows view, but then it probably would have not been so quiet.
