Cinque Stelle Hotel Apartments Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Cinque Stelle Hotel Apartments on Strada Bistriței, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect — the name suggests something fancy, but the street feels pretty residential. Turns out, that’s actually part of its charm. This four-star property sits in a quieter part of Cluj-Napoca, away from the tourist crowds but still close enough that you can walk to the old town in about fifteen minutes.
The Apartment Experience
Here’s what I really appreciated — these aren’t just hotel rooms with a mini-fridge thrown in. Each apartment feels like someone actually lives there, with a proper kitchen that has everything you need if you want to cook (which I did, buying ingredients from the local market). The room layouts are spacious, and I mean genuinely spacious, not that “European spacious” where you can barely open your suitcase. The living areas have comfortable seating where you can actually relax, not just perch awkwardly on the edge of a bed.
Location & Getting Around
What’s smart about the location is that you’re in a real neighborhood where locals live and work. There’s a small grocery store two blocks away, and honestly, some of the best traditional Romanian food I had was at a little place called Baracca, just a ten-minute walk from the hotel. The main pedestrian zone and Piața Unirii are close enough for evening strolls, but far enough that you’re not dealing with late-night noise from the bars.
The Details That Matter
The staff here — and I mean this — actually seem to care about what they’re doing. When I mentioned I was trying to find a good local wine shop, the front desk guy drew me a little map and wrote down three specific bottles to try. The housekeeping is thorough without being intrusive, and there’s parking available, which trust me, is not something you should take for granted in Cluj-Napoca’s city center.
Why Guests Love It
Look, if you want a traditional hotel experience with a restaurant downstairs and room service, this probably isn’t your place. But if you appreciate having your own space, being able to prepare your own breakfast, and staying somewhere that feels more like a temporary home than a tourist stop, then Cinque Stelle really delivers. The 9.7 rating makes sense when you experience how everything just… works. It’s the kind of place where you’ll find yourself planning your next trip back to Cluj-Napoca partly because you know you have a great base to return to.

Reviews of Cinque Stelle Hotel Apartments
Exceptional – Octavian from United States – September 23, 2025 (10/10)
Everything was perfecf
Awesome stay, good value for money, close to everything that matters in Cluj! – Vlad from Romania – August 5, 2025 (10/10)
The property is in a great location. The rooms were very big, spacious. New furniture, with everything you need: pots, glasses, tableware, dish washing machine and washing machine (on request). Great parking spot right in the courtyard. Mega Image (supermarket) right across the street. Bath products included and coffee capsules also included. You can find a bus station right around the corner and get everywhere in Cluj. Also, you're in walking distance from Iulius Mall.
Couldn't recommend it more!
What could be improved: The cleaning staff (which is probably subcontracted, not the owners' fault or smth) wasn't that great; they entered the apartment with their shoes on and basically half-cleaned, half-made a new mess. Not a very good experience.Perfect location – Mihai-raul from Romania – July 22, 2025 (10/10)
Clean, stylish, very close to Iulius Mall.
What could be improved: All was perfect.Exceptional – Valentin from Romania – April 8, 2025 (10/10)
It's been our second time at this accommodation.
Everything is in good order, the communication is easy, we surely recommend.Tiny heaven – Biro from Romania – February 20, 2025 (10/10)
This small, quiet hotel seems like a hidden gem for travelers who appreciate modern design and comfort. The heated floors add a touch of luxury, especially in colder months, making the stay even more cozy. The proximity (only 20 meters) to a non-stop food store is incredibly convenient for late-night cravings or quick snacks.
One of the biggest highlights is the free private parking—something that can be rare and valuable, especially in busy areas. The ultra-fast WiFi 6 connection with a 5ms ping is perfect for remote work, streaming, or gaming, making it an excellent choice for digital nomads or business travelers.
The free coffee selection, including cortado, lungo, and intenso, adds a premium feel without extra cost. It’s a thoughtful touch for coffee lovers who appreciate variety.
With the best price-to-quality ratio and all these perks, it’s easy to see why this hotel deserves a 5-star rating for what it offers. It may not have the luxury of big-chain hotels, but for its category, it seems unbeatable. Would definitely recommend for those who value a quiet, modern, and well-connected stay.
What could be improved: That we should leave.Nice, cozy, well-equipped – Adrian from Romania – November 4, 2024 (10/10)
The apartment had all the necessary equipments for our stay, such as microwaves, fridge, coffee machine etc. and on top of that, it was roomy and comfy.
Excellent. – Valentin from Romania – September 9, 2024 (10/10)
Everything was excellent, from start to end.
Wonderful – Bogdan from Romania – September 22, 2025 (9/10)
The apartment was spacious and clean. the furniture is new and good qualty. The checking indications from the host were crystal clear, everything went smooth even if there was no one there. There is a Mega shop just across the street and some nice restaurant close to the place. The private gated parking was a great value for us, traveling by car.
What could be improved: The kitchen may need a bit more and various dishes, but was ok for us as we did not intend to eat there. There was no "City view" just "next building view" even if we booked "Deluxe One-Bedroom Apartment with City View" 🙂Wonderful – Alina from Romania – October 18, 2024 (9/10)
What could be improved: The matrice was rock hard
Bad – Justmary from Slovakia – July 23, 2025 (1/10)
What could be improved: Not happy with owners- we were agreed on something and they break it
