Location & Getting Around

Strada Kelemen Lajos is actually perfect if you want to feel like you’re staying in a real neighborhood rather than a tourist bubble. You’re close enough to walk into the old town in about fifteen minutes, but far enough away that you won’t hear drunk tourists stumbling around at 2 AM. There’s a small grocery store two blocks down, and the local bakery — well, let’s just say you’ll understand why Romanians take their bread seriously.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was surprisingly spacious for what you’d expect from a four-star place in this price range. Everything felt thoughtfully chosen rather than just ordered from a hotel catalog — the wooden floors, the soft lighting, even the way they positioned the desk near the window. The bathroom was compact but efficient, with one of those rainfall showerheads that actually delivers decent water pressure.

Dining & Amenities

They don’t have a full restaurant, but the breakfast setup is solid — fresh pastries, local cheeses, and coffee that’s strong enough to get you moving. What I really appreciated was the small common area where you can grab a drink in the evening. It’s not fancy, but it has this lived-in quality that makes you want to actually spend time there instead of just rushing through to your room.

The staff remembers your name after one night, and they’ll actually give you useful recommendations instead of just pointing you toward the tourist traps.   Very spacious apartment, clean, well appointed. Ideal for families. It even has play areas. Everything worked well, including directions and lock box code. Owner was contactable and available for any issues eg we couldn't figure out how to turn on the heater.

  The place looks beautiful and feels like home. The host accommodated all our needs and special requests, and our collaboration was as smooth as possible. Would definitely recommend and would take into consideration for next time. The location was perfect for us, as it was close to our wedding event and also good facilities (supermarkets, pharmacies, transportation) nearby.

  We liked everything, it was a cosy house in a very quiet location. We felt at home since we had everything we needed from washing machine, dishwasher to various kitchen tools. The house is nicely organised with a lot of toys for kids. It has also a small garden with a playground. It is a top location for Cluj. Thank you for all you do!

  Location – quiet and safe road but only 5 minute walk from shops, cafes and bus stop.
  
  House – lovely open plan downstairs which meant there was enough space for everyone during the day. The house is perfect for young children. It felt safe and they were very entertained by the toys and the fish tank!
  
  Garden – excellent garden. Again, very safe for children with swings, slide and trampoline. Lovely terrace area and balcony is main room for a morning coffee.
  
  Host – excellent communication! They were so accommodating and even let us check out a little later upon request.
  
  Overall – this was the perfect place for a little family reunion in Cluj. The price meant it was affordable for everyone who came but it was also such a lovely house in a lovely area. We can't wait to come back!
