The building itself has that classic European charm you see throughout the old center, but once you’re inside apartment 7 on the sixth floor, it’s a completely different world.

What strikes you immediately is how thoughtfully this place is designed. The main room flows seamlessly into a modern kitchenette — honestly, it’s better equipped than most hotel rooms I’ve stayed in. There’s actual counter space, decent appliances, and you know what? You can actually cook a proper meal if you want to skip the restaurant scene for a night. The sleeping area feels separate enough to give you that bedroom vibe, even though it’s technically all one space.

Location & Neighborhood

Here’s the thing about Unirii Square — it’s where Cluj really comes alive. You’re literally in the heart of everything, with the old town’s cobblestone streets spreading out in every direction. I mean, you can walk to the main cathedral in about three minutes, and some of the city’s best cafés are right downstairs. The square itself gets pretty lively in the evenings, but the apartment’s positioning means you get the energy without too much noise.

Getting Around

What I really appreciated was how walkable everything is from here. The Ethnographic Museum is practically around the corner, and if you’re into that whole coffee culture thing Cluj does so well, you’ve got options everywhere. Parking can be a bit tricky in this area — it’s old town, after all — but there are nearby options if you’re driving in. Most guests I talked to just walked everywhere anyway.

  The location is top notch, in the heart of the city, walking distance to the center. Very safe, easy to check in, charming , spacious apartment. Clean linens and towels, the bed is not king size by US standards but that’s not to take away from the overall experience. The hosts are informative with check in/check out instructions, smooth process.
