There’s decent parking nearby too, which anyone who’s driven in Cluj will tell you is worth its weight in gold.

  It’s exactly in the city centre, with the Union Square about 100 meters away. The view from that balcony, overlooking Eroilor Boulevard, is just amazing. It’s a house with historical value, since the famous hungarian mathematician Janos Bolyai was born there in 1802. The Cluj University, ranked no. 1 in Romania, bears his name. Inside it doesn’t look like The Ritz, but you get everything you need for a comfortable stay: queensize bed, wardrobe, desk, TV, wi-fi, tableware, towels etc.. The room is quite large, with the ceiling at a wooping 4 meters above the floor. I had a full size refrigerator, a microwave oven and an electric kettle that were very useful. Other similar appliances are available in the common area. The shower cabin from the bathroom was good and I also had a hair dryer available there. More than enough outlets to charge all your electronic devices. Overall a nice clean place to return to after a beautiful day in Cluj.

  Great location with nice view of the church. The room is big and light. Balcony is nice, though shared with another room. Queen bed is great but too noisy as it is very old. Kettle in the room was a plus, as well as TV with many programmes.

  It is an old but fantastic property. From the balcony you can look at the wolf of Rome and its twins. It is a beautiful, interesting and lovely. Shops are on hand and I would recommend the Coffee House which is about between 50 to 100 metres on your left side. Most of the staff will talk in English 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 and have a great chat with me !! For Breakfast, the pancakes with bilberries and sliced strawberries with good cream is around 50 Ron (approximately £10). The freshly juiced orange in a 400 mls glass is obviously great !. This is around 25 Ron (£5 in GBP).
  
  What could be improved: If I was operating the place I would review and would revamp it. The facilities are OK but most of the people that used there would find a modern shower cubicle most attractive and agreeable. He could increase the rent to around 25 – 50% positive beyond offers today.

  The setting of this apartment is hard to beat – a beautiful historic building just around the corner from the main square. I loved the interior of the apartment as well, decorated with vintage furniture. I contacted the owner a few hours before arriving to send me the self check-in instruction and that went totally smoothly. The TV has HBO! 🙂
  
  What could be improved: The mattress wasn't very comfortable. And the room got extremely hot in the afternoon. Luckily a fan is provided and I managed to sleep without a problem with the fan turned on and the windows opened.
