The building itself is classic Romanian architecture, and honestly, apartment 21 on the second floor has this unexpectedly cozy vibe once you step inside. It’s one of those places where the photos online don’t quite capture how comfortable it actually feels in person.

Location & Getting Around

What I really appreciated about this three-star spot is how walkable everything becomes from here. The Central Park (Parcul Central) is maybe a seven-minute stroll, and you can easily reach the old town’s cobblestone streets without needing a taxi. There’s a decent restaurant called Roata literally around the corner — locals eat there, which is always a good sign. The nearby Eroilor Boulevard connects you to pretty much anywhere you need to go in the city.

The Studio Space

This isn’t your typical hotel room setup — it’s actually more like a well-designed apartment that someone put real thought into. The kitchen area has everything you’d need for simple meals (I mean, the coffee maker alone saved me about 50 lei over three days), and there’s enough counter space to spread out if you’re traveling for work. The bed sits in the main area with good natural light from windows that face the courtyard, so mornings feel bright without being harsh.

Practical Details

Street parking can get tricky during weekdays — I learned this the hard way on my first morning — but there are a couple of paid lots within two blocks that aren’t too expensive. The WiFi actually works well enough for video calls, and the heating system keeps things comfortable even when Cluj gets those damp autumn nights. The shower pressure is solid, which honestly surprised me given the building’s age.

Why Guests Love It

That 9.9 rating makes complete sense once you’ve stayed here for a couple of nights. It’s not trying to be something fancy — it just delivers on the basics really well while giving you that “living in Cluj” experience rather than the typical tourist hotel feel. The value is genuinely excellent for what you get, especially considering you’re essentially in the city center. Plus, the host responds quickly to messages, which matters when you’re figuring out a new city.

  The apartment is fantastic; it has everything you need for a few days in Cluj. The entrance to the apartment leaves a bit to be desired, but you have to keep in mind that the buildings and houses here are poorly maintained. But I would return. Its location is perfect.

  The location is right in the center and has all shops around and walking area. The studio is greatly furnished, spacious and and pleasant. The bed is very comfortable and you can have a great rest and sleep. The host is very helpful and I felt very welcome in this property. My overall experience was super great.

  The location is very close to the city center and the cleanliness and style of the apartment blew my mind. Its an amazing place, although there is no view, you wouldn't stay in this apartment all day considering its location.
  
  What could be improved: The only thing that would inconvenience me is that there is no washing machine if you were to stay for a longer term, otherwise there is nothing to comment.
