The residential setting means it’s genuinely quiet at night, which you’ll appreciate after exploring the city’s surprisingly vibrant nightlife scene.

The room setup is thoughtfully designed — it feels more like staying at a music-loving friend’s place than a standard rental. That piano isn’t just decoration; the hosts actually encourage guests to play if they’re inclined. The kitchen is fully equipped, which came in handy when I wanted to try cooking with ingredients from the local Piața Centrală market. Everything feels clean and modern, but with personal touches that make it memorable.

  The flat is renovate with nice furniture and equipped with all you need.
  The check in is very easy. The owner gave me the possibility to enter in the flat before check in schedule. Thank you for that! Super market is very closed also several restaurants recommended by the owner.
  
  What could be improved: Even the apartment is in a block of flats, the location is near BT Arena and only 20 min walking to the downtown.

  The place was close to where I had errands to run and also it was quiet at night.
  
  What could be improved: The sloppy cleaning (pan marks on the table, breadcrumbs on a kitchen chair, napkins and airline labels fallen behind the washing machine, dust wiped here and there – see the month old dust level on the router); the apartment was placed at ground floor, but at a pretty low level, meaning people were basically looking in while passing by and I locked eyes with a few of them while having my coffee in the kitchen – for this reason I had to keep the shades on at all times, without light coming in; the curtains were broken on a side and it seemed like nobody even tried to fix that; the bathroom had that type of a shower that would flood the bathroom – the leakage was pretty stuck so I saw how the leakage under the sink was open so that the water would create a stream towards that – after taking a shower one has to basically wait for the tiles to dry up; poorest quality toilet paper possible, and also it was only a less than half roll for 3 nights – not that I'm pretentious, but for the price I paid this was pretty weird; I bought my own paper towels to have some sort of towel to dry or wipe stuff in the kitchen, since there wasn't any; some pretty weird design choices (the entrance door to the apartment had glass on it?) and quite a hospital looking sort of vibe (everything white, but also quite used up). The host gave me the wrong entrance code and he barely woke up in the afternoon when I called his phone to see how I could get inside, eventhough he knew my time of arrival. On booking it was specified that there would be free pickup from the airport, but when I had asked for it, I've been told they offer it for 100 lei (the taxi is 30 something lei) so I said no thanks.
  
  I travel often and I have to say, I've never been so disappointed in an accommodation, usually Cluj has really nice places, which are really central for the price.
