When I stepped through the door, I immediately got why this four-star property has such an impressive 9.8 rating.

Location & Neighborhood

Here’s what I love about staying here — you’re actually living like a local in Cluj-Napoca rather than being stuck in some tourist bubble. The street itself is peaceful, lined with interesting architecture that tells the story of the city’s evolution. You can walk to the historic center in about fifteen minutes, but honestly, I found myself enjoying the journey through residential streets where you’ll spot elderly locals tending their small gardens and students heading to nearby university buildings.

The Room Experience

My room felt more like staying in a sophisticated friend’s home than a typical hotel. The design strikes this perfect balance between modern comfort and Romanian character — think clean lines mixed with locally-sourced textiles and art. The attention to detail is what really got me; proper blackout curtains (trust me, you’ll appreciate this), a workspace that’s actually functional, and a bathroom where everything works exactly as it should.

Mornings here have this lovely, unhurried quality. There’s no massive restaurant with buffet chaos — instead, breakfast feels personal and well-considered. The staff genuinely seems to remember how you like your coffee after just a day or two. I mean, it’s those small touches that separate places like SarmiHouse from the standard business hotels you’ll find closer to the main squares.

  The apartment is pleasantly and aesthetically designed. Clean and shiny.
  The shower is excellent and very pleasant to shower in. Plenty of hot water, with a steady stream and good water pressure. The bed is very comfortable and there are enough blankets, pillows and towels.
  Parking next to the apartment!
  The apartment owners are attentive and helpful when needed.
  
  What could be improved: The apartment is a little far from the center (since parking in the center is expensive, it is better to take Uber).
  The kitchen is equipped but lacks basic things to use such as some utensils, oil, salt, pepper, etc.

  The facilities were amazing and obviously very new. It was lovely and warm inside which was great coming in from the cold. Great TV which had Netflix & Prime. Excellent location for Iulius Mall and there was a shop just round the corner that sold everything you need to eat in the apartment.

  Excellent sized room for a couple and a child. Kitchen has basic facilities to eat breakfast or small meals, a fridge, a microwave, a coffee machine. Parking available in front of the building, which is very useful in the area. Very close to Iulius Mall, parks, shops. Owners very friendly and accommodating with our needs.

  Very nice contact (very fast response via messaging on questions and requests) and well organised (e.g. visual check-in information and guide with pictures provided in advance of arrival).
  
  What could be improved: The blinds on the windows in the kitchen area do not completely darken, so it is relatively bright in the room in the morning as soon as it gets light outside.
