The beds are firm (which I appreciate), and the bathrooms have decent water pressure, which honestly can be hit-or-miss in this part of Romania. What I liked was the little balcony; not huge, but big enough for morning coffee while looking out at the forested hills.

Dining and Amenities

The on-site restaurant serves a mix of Romanian and international dishes, and they’re clearly putting effort into sourcing local ingredients. I had this lamb dish that was genuinely excellent — not just “good for hotel food” but actually good. The wellness area includes a decent-sized spa with a sauna and indoor pool, plus they’ve got outdoor facilities that are perfect if you’re traveling with kids or just want to lounge around.

  Initially, upon arrival, the room that was booked was dirty the floor had dirt prints, the bathroom was clogged and the air conditioners was not functioning because there was no remote in the room. When I informed the receptionist, they escalated it to the manager and having acknowledged the mistake, was very generous enough to give us a better alternative room and refund the full amount.
  It is the empathetic and sincere intentions that counted. I loved the surrounding places— it was magnificent!
  I shall hope to visit that place someday again.
