The lobby is clean and understated, nothing flashy, but the staff actually seems to know what they’re doing.

Here’s what I really appreciated about Aleea Valeriu Bologa — it’s residential enough that you’re not dealing with tourist crowds, but you’re still close to the action. You can walk to the old town in about 15 minutes, which is perfect for evening strolls. The area has that authentic Romanian neighborhood vibe, with local cafes and small shops that actually serve the people who live here. There’s decent parking too, which anyone who’s driven in Cluj will tell you is worth its weight in gold.

The Apartment Experience

The apartment I stayed in was genuinely spacious — not just “European spacious” but actually roomy. The kitchen came fully equipped, and I mean actually useful stuff, not just a mini-fridge and a prayer. I ended up cooking breakfast most mornings because, well, why not? The whole setup feels like you’re borrowing someone’s well-maintained place rather than staying in a sterile hotel room.

Daily Life & Amenities

What struck me most was how this four-star place handles the practical stuff. The Wi-Fi actually works everywhere, the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a dying helicopter, and the shower has proper water pressure. These might seem like small things, but after you’ve stayed in places where none of that works, you start to appreciate attention to detail. The housekeeping staff maintains everything without being intrusive — they seem to have figured out that perfect balance.

Look, AD Apartments isn’t trying to be the flashiest place in Cluj-Napoca, and that’s exactly why it works so well. You get the independence of having your own space with the reliability of professional management. It’s particularly great if you’re staying for work or need space to spread out, but honestly, even regular travelers will appreciate having a proper living area instead of just a bed and a tiny desk.

  The flat was very clean, quite, the service was excellent, it’s close to a big shopping mall, you can walk to it , parking is free and good, everything was good.

  What could be improved: When in the morning I first exited the apartment, the locker of the keys was wide open. It freaked me out, and I believed, that someone had played with the combination lock, and left it open just like that. Only when I closed it, and when next time I exited again to the opened locker had I realized, that it wasn't lockpickers, but maybe they've just checked if we already left, and they can prepare the place for the next guests. Even that I know this now, I think, this is not good, because if left open, anyone can read the code.
