What struck me immediately was how the owners have managed to create something that feels both homey and polished, which isn’t easy to pull off.

The Space Itself

The apartment layout is what really makes this place work — you get a proper living area that doesn’t feel cramped, plus a kitchen that’s actually functional (not one of those tiny hotel kitchenettes that can barely handle making coffee). I mean, you could genuinely cook a meal here if you wanted to. The furnishings are modern without being sterile, and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling like you’re living out of a suitcase.

Location & Getting Around

You’re about a 15-minute walk to the historic center, which is perfect because you avoid the tourist crowds but can still easily get to all the good restaurants and bars. The neighborhood itself is quiet — mostly locals going about their daily business, a few small shops, nothing too exciting but that’s exactly why it works. There’s decent parking nearby, which anyone who’s driven in Cluj will appreciate, and the tram connections are solid if you don’t have a car.

What Sets It Apart

Honestly, it’s the attention to small details that impressed me most about this three-star place. The Wi-Fi actually works well (you’d be surprised how often that’s not the case), the shower has proper water pressure, and the bed is genuinely comfortable — not too soft, not too firm. The owners clearly understand what travelers actually need versus what looks good in photos. You know what else? The whole place feels clean without smelling like harsh cleaning products, which is a nice touch.

Why Guests Love It

That 9.7 rating makes complete sense once you’ve stayed here — it’s the kind of place where everything just works as it should. You get the independence of having your own space but with the reliability of a well-run accommodation. For the price point, you’re getting way more room than you’d find in most hotels in the city center, plus that homey feeling that makes you want to actually relax rather than just crash for the night. It’s particularly great if you’re staying more than a couple of days, since you can settle in properly.

  The apartment is very nice and comfortable for a family. It is cool for extreme hot summer day, no need for AC. It has everything one needs, it is very clean, the hosts are friendly and supportive with everything we needed. The location is placed very well for shopping, being close to mall shopping area and a supermarket from where you can buy fast food is nearby. In case you want to cook yourself, there is everything needed in the apartment. It is also a quiet area, good for resting.
