First Impressions

Walking up to Apartament Verde on Strada Alexandru Vaida Voievod, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect — the building looks pretty standard from the outside. But once you get inside apartment 11 on the first floor, it’s actually a pleasant surprise. The space feels much bigger than you’d think, and there’s this calm, green-themed vibe that makes sense with the name.

Location & Getting Around

You know what’s great about this spot in Cluj-Napoca? You’re close enough to the action without dealing with all the noise from the old town. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the main square, which is perfect for morning coffee runs. The parking situation is way better here than in the city center — I mean, good luck finding a spot there during peak season.

The Space Itself

This four-star place is set up more like a proper apartment than a hotel room, which I really appreciated. The kitchen area is actually functional — not just some tiny corner with a mini-fridge. You’ve got everything you need if you want to grab groceries from the nearby Kaufland and cook something simple. The bed was comfortable, and the whole place felt clean and well-maintained.

What Makes It Stand Out

Here’s the thing — Cluj can get pretty expensive during festival season or when the universities are busy, but Apartament Verde gives you solid value without compromising on comfort. The owners clearly put thought into the details; there’s decent Wi-Fi (which isn’t always a given in Romanian apartments), and the shower actually has proper water pressure. Plus, you’re staying in a residential area, so you get a feel for how locals actually live in Cluj-Napoca.

That 9.5 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed here. It’s not flashy or trying too hard — just a well-executed concept that works really well for travelers who want independence and space.   It was easy to enter the property because all the details were provided in advance and in the form of short videos too. This apartment was perfect for our family of 4. It was clean and the rooms were big. The balcony overlooking a tree filed hill was a nice surprise for enjoying your morning coffee. The kitchen was well equipped and it was nice to have a washing machine.
  Supermarkets were 2 minutes away, the Iulius mall was 5 min away and playgrounds for the kids were 7 min away.
  The host was fast to reply and accommodating. Great experience.

  The check in system, the apartment is functional and had a cooling system. The general cleanness.
  
  What could be improved: The bathroom could be a bit more clean. (the shampoo /holder doesn't really have to have rests of the soaps from the previous people. It's not a negative critic its a constructive one.

  Location was great, close to the mall and taxis. There is also a supermarket and coffee just just outside about 1 minutes walk. Parking on site also available.
