I’ll be honest — when I first pulled up to the OZone building in Cluj-Napoca, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from Eriss Studio Suite – OZone building apartment. The modern glass facade looks sleek enough, but you know how apartment buildings can be hit or miss. Taking that elevator up to the fifth floor, though, I realized this four-star place was going to surprise me. The moment you step into apartment 506, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually thought about how travelers live, not just where they sleep.

The Space That Works

The studio layout is honestly brilliant — it’s compact but never feels cramped. Everything flows naturally from the sleeping area to the little dining nook, and there’s enough space to actually unpack your suitcase without playing Tetris with your belongings. The kitchenette caught my attention right away because it’s not just for show — you’ve got proper appliances, decent counter space, and actual cookware that isn’t scratched to death. I mean, after weeks of hotel breakfast buffets, being able to make a simple meal felt like a small miracle.

Location & Getting Around

Here’s what I love about Alexandru Vaida Voevod — you’re close enough to the action but far enough from the tourist chaos. The old town is maybe a 15-minute walk, which means you can stumble home after exploring Cluj’s surprisingly vibrant nightlife without paying for a taxi every time. There’s decent parking if you’re driving, though honestly, you won’t need a car much once you’re settled. The neighborhood has this lived-in feel that I appreciate — real bakeries, corner shops, locals walking their dogs.

The Details That Matter

You know what impressed me most? The Wi-Fi actually works everywhere in the suite, the shower has proper water pressure, and the bed doesn’t feel like it was assembled from spare parts. These sound like basic things, but after staying in places where you’re fighting with temperamental everything, it’s refreshing when stuff just works. The windows face a decent direction too — you get natural light without feeling like you’re in a fishbowl. Climate control responds quickly, which matters when you’re dealing with Romania’s unpredictable weather.

That 9.8 rating makes total sense once you’ve spent a few nights here. It’s the kind of place that gets the fundamentals right without trying too hard to impress you with unnecessary bells and whistles. You’ve got everything you need for a comfortable stay, whether that’s a weekend city break or a longer work trip. The building feels secure, the suite stays clean, and honestly — you start to feel a bit like a temporary local rather than just another tourist passing through.   This was a new apartment for me. Stayed in the building but in another apartment.
  Also keeping in mind the price I paid for this, compared to what I paid on a Viva apartment, this was a deal.
  Everything was clean and warm. The apartment has a great design. The stay was really nice.
  Also situated in a good area, above the Kaufland, having Lidl next to it, in a calm area, near the Mall and all its amenities.
  I will surely return whenever I will be in Cluj and I will find it available.
