You’re staying where locals live, not in some tourist bubble downtown.

The Apartment Experience

This four-star place gets the apartment concept right. Each unit feels like someone’s actual home — there’s a proper kitchen with a full-size fridge, not some sad mini-bar setup. I mean, you can actually cook here if you want to. The living areas have enough space to spread out, which is refreshing after staying in cramped hotel rooms elsewhere. The furniture isn’t fancy, but it’s comfortable and functional.

Location & Getting Around

You’re about a 15-minute walk from the old town center, which might sound far but it’s not — Cluj isn’t huge. The walk takes you through some interesting neighborhoods where you’ll see how people actually live here. There’s a small grocery store just around the corner, and I noticed several locals grabbing coffee at a tiny café two blocks down. If you don’t feel like walking, taxis are cheap and reliable.

The Practical Stuff

The room I stayed in had excellent Wi-Fi — I was working remotely and never had connection issues. Housekeeping comes regularly but isn’t intrusive about it. There’s parking available, which you’ll definitely need if you’re driving (Cluj’s old town isn’t car-friendly). The staff speaks English well enough, though they’re not around 24/7 since this isn’t a traditional hotel setup.

  1. I had the pleasure (and the absolute honor) of staying here only 1 night. (this time).
  Easily by far probably one of the best places I’ve ever stayed at. Not just in this country. Maybe even in Europe. (Michelin who?)
  The mix of rustic and modern design hits you as soon as you step in. You don’t just walk into an apartment—you enter a vibe. A cozy, feels-like-home vibe. And let me tell you, I have rarely felt this in any other accommodations across the country or even the world.
  Now, let’s talk about the host. Not only is Sergiu welcoming (which, okay, he should be, hospitality rules and all), but he actually cares. He pays attention to your needs as a guest, answering your questions and offering solutions for anything related to the apartment or Cluj itself. (Where to eat, what to do, how to live your best life—you name it.)
  I had been wanting to stay here for a while because, you know, everybody was hyping it up. And let me tell you—I was NOT disappointed.
  The kitchen? Fully equipped with everything you need. The bathroom? The same. The whole apartment? Has everything for a perfect stay in the heart of the city.
  The location? Chef’s kiss. Close to the center, train station, and shops.
  No, I was not paid to write this review. This is straight from the heart. Pure emotion.
  I shed two tears when I left today. Two. This doesn’t happen often. 🤭

  We had a wonderful experience staying in the apartment. The apartment was really comfortable and clean. But the biggest advantage of the apartment was its convenient location. There are a lot of stores near by and also most of the city’s main attractions were close enough to reach by foot.Overall, the apartment is a great choice for travelers looking for a clean, well-situated place to stay.
