The building itself is pretty standard Romanian architecture, but once you’re inside apartment 23, it feels like someone actually thought about how travelers live.

The Space That Works

What struck me most was how they used every inch wisely. The kitchenette isn’t just for show — I mean, you can actually cook a proper meal here, which is rare for studios in this price range. The sleeping area doesn’t feel cramped against the living space, and there’s this little dining nook that’s perfect for morning coffee or working on your laptop. You know what I really appreciated? The windows are large enough that you don’t feel like you’re living in a cave, and the natural light makes the whole place feel bigger than it is.

Location Reality Check

Here’s the thing about being “near the center” — it’s about a 15-minute walk to the main square, which is actually perfect. You’re close enough to walk to the good stuff (the old town, decent restaurants, that whole area), but you’re not dealing with the noise and chaos of being right in the thick of things. The tram stops nearby, and honestly, Cluj’s public transport is pretty reliable if you need to get around quickly. Plus, there’s a decent grocery store just down the street, which matters more than you’d think when you’re staying somewhere with cooking facilities.

The Practical Stuff

Look, this is a three-star place with a 9.5 rating, so expectations should be realistic — but they absolutely deliver on what they promise. The Wi-Fi works (I tested it extensively), the shower has good pressure, and everything feels clean and well-maintained. I particularly liked that they provided actual coffee, not just those sad instant packets you usually get. The parking situation is street parking, which can be a bit of a hunt during busy times, but that’s just Cluj for you.

Why Guests Love It

What makes this studio work is that it feels like staying in someone’s well-organized home rather than a sterile hotel room. The hosts clearly understand what people need — good internet, a functional kitchen, comfortable bedding, and enough space to actually relax. It’s not trying to be fancy, but everything works exactly as it should. For the price point in Cluj-Napoca, especially with that location and the amount of space you get, it’s honestly one of the better deals I’ve come across. Perfect for a few days exploring the city without breaking the bank.

  The 1 bedroom apartment is equipped with everything you need for a short to long stay.
  From fully equipen kitchen to washing and drying machine, to one small desk, nice balcony with great view and so on.
  We like everything about it with two small exception.
  
  What could be improved: The only disadvantage of the place are:
  The bed which was quite uncomfortable if you sleep 2 persons. I want to mention we are above average in heigh (1.70 and 1.83) and athletic bodies, but the bed is quite narrow in width.
  
  The second inconvenience is the fact that the place was originally a bigger multiple room apartment and split in 2. With the other renting unit you have a common small hallway before entering either of the places. And you can hear very louder when someone exit or enters the other place.

  The apartment was spacious, clean and modern.
  The price/quality is very good.
  The bed is comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked.
  The position is very good.
  
  What could be improved: The gas leak detector was not plugged into the electrical outlet. This is required by law in order to avoid gas leaks.
  Given that you sleep in the same room and near the condensing boiler, the gas detector be plugged in. This is a safety hazard.
  Also, the boiler it's a bit noisy when it's on.

  The location is quite and close to public transport.
  The neighbourhood seems nice.

  What could be improved: The heating boiler is mounted exactly next to the bed, which is not very pleasant.
  During my stay the the drainage of the shower was clogged, and the shower could not be used for more than 2 minutes until the bathroom floor become covered of water.
  The host does not issue an invoice.

  The place is well equipped and it's at a really really great location, with secure parking.
  
  What could be improved: The cleanliness really wasn't great. We have found a lot of hair on the floor. Also as there are two separate rooms and the boiler which is near the bed serves both of them, the sudden noise can be quite unpleasant.

  El alojamiento tiene de todo, para dos personas es perfecto, amplio, cómodo, se está muy bien. Y la terraza tiene buenas vistas y cuenta con sillas y mesa para relajarte contemplando el panorama. En resumen, muy recomendable.

  Minden rendben volt. Tetszett, mert tágas, kényelmes. A parkoló is jól fogott.
