I mean, it’s technically a four-star place, but honestly, the attention to detail here rivals some of the fancier hotels I’ve stayed at in Cluj-Napoca. The building itself has this elegant, almost residential feel — which makes sense since you’re essentially staying in a beautifully appointed apartment rather than a standard hotel room.

The Space Itself

What really struck me was how thoughtfully everything’s been put together. The kitchen isn’t just some afterthought with a mini-fridge and hot plate — it’s actually functional, with proper appliances and enough counter space to prepare a real meal if you want to. You know what I appreciated most? The little touches like quality coffee beans and local honey waiting for you. The living area flows naturally into the sleeping space, but it never feels cramped or awkwardly divided.

Location & Getting Around

Calea Dorobanților is one of those streets that locals actually use — not just a tourist corridor. There’s a decent supermarket about a five-minute walk away, and you’re close enough to the historic center that you can walk there in maybe fifteen minutes when the weather’s nice. The tram stop is practically at your doorstep, which honestly saved me quite a bit on taxi rides during my stay.

The Experience

The 9.6 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there a day or two. It’s not just about having a nice place to sleep — though the bed is genuinely comfortable — it’s about feeling like you have your own little base in the city. The Wi-Fi actually works properly (always a concern when traveling), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase. I found myself cooking breakfast a couple of mornings just because the setup made it so easy.

Why Guests Love It

Look, if you’re the type who needs daily housekeeping and a concierge, this probably isn’t your speed. But if you want independence, space to breathe, and a genuine sense of what it’s like to live in Cluj-Napoca for a few days, this hits that sweet spot perfectly. The value is excellent too — you’re getting significantly more space and amenities than you’d find in a traditional hotel at this price point. Plus, there’s something refreshing about having your own front door key rather than swiping a hotel card every time you want to come home.

  Clean and spacious

  Was a little difficult to find the property from the Main Street at 1 am in the morning but we did it! Basically from Main Street on the left , after the trees!
  When we got to the apartment we had no soap or shower gel or any products in the bathroom!
  I texted the landlord and she delivered the bath products in 10 min!
  For future I woud leave the AC on and apartment cool for the guests! Was very hot when we got in and took like 20 min to cool off because living room has no AC so basically the bedroom AC has to do the job for the rooms too!!
  Anyway apartment is a 10 and landlord or who is dealing with guests is a pro!! 10 out of 10!!

  The appartment is a very nice and clean , with all the facilities, just like in the pictures . It has also a free parking nearby.
  The host was very friendly and helpful. It is not so far from the Center of the City.
