Villa Centrale Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Villa Centrale on Strada Crișan, you’ll immediately notice it doesn’t try to be something it isn’t — and honestly, that’s exactly what makes it work. This three-star property sits quietly in Cluj-Napoca’s residential area, feeling more like staying at a well-appointed friend’s place than a typical hotel. The building has this understated charm that grows on you, especially once you realize how thoughtfully everything’s been put together.
The Neighborhood
Here’s what I love about the location — you’re actually living like a local for a few days. The immediate area is residential, which means you’ll walk past corner shops and small cafés where people are just going about their daily routines. It’s maybe a 15-minute walk to the old town center, but honestly, I found myself enjoying the stroll through these quieter streets. You get a real sense of how Cluj-Napoca residents actually live, not just the tourist-facing parts of the city.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in surprised me — it was larger than expected and had this clean, minimalist design that felt genuinely relaxing. Nothing fancy, but everything worked perfectly, from the shower pressure (which, let’s be honest, can make or break a stay) to the Wi-Fi speed. The bed was properly comfortable, and I mean the kind where you don’t wake up with a crick in your neck. They’ve clearly put thought into the details that matter most when you’re actually trying to rest.
Daily Comforts
What struck me most was how the staff seemed to genuinely care about getting things right. They’re not overly formal, but they know their stuff — like which nearby restaurant serves the best mici, or when the local market is worth visiting. The common areas are kept spotless without feeling sterile, and there’s this relaxed atmosphere that makes you want to linger over morning coffee rather than rush out sightseeing.
Why Guests Love It
Look, Villa Centrale isn’t trying to be the fanciest place in Cluj-Napoca, and that’s precisely its strength. You’re getting solid comfort, a genuine local neighborhood experience, and staff who actually know the city well enough to point you toward hidden gems. That 9.7 rating isn’t an accident — it comes from consistently delivering exactly what travelers need without any unnecessary fuss. If you want to experience Cluj-Napoca like someone who lives there, rather than just passing through, this is your spot.

Reviews of Villa Centrale
Exceptional – Luminita from Romania – September 16, 2025 (10/10)
Very nice place, it's got every you need.
What could be improved: –Nice rooms, good coffee, parking on the street – Peter from Slovakia – August 25, 2025 (9/10)
Nice clean room, well equipped. Good coffee and refreshments available non-stop. Staff friendly and welcoming. Little garden for morning coffee.
What could be improved: Parking is on street and officially paid during the day, thou I'm not sure if anyone checks if you paid. Lady at reception claimed we don't need to pay but we did as it wasn't too expensive.Exceptional – Monika from Greece – August 24, 2025 (10/10)
I liked the convenient central location, which made it easy to walk around the city. The villa was cozy and clean, although a small buffet with tea, coffee, and snacks, was a nice way to start the day. 😊
Amazing old building, impressive architecture, confy rooms, very clean, location near city center (waking distance). Def – Alina from Romania – August 23, 2025 (10/10)
Location,, cleanliness, quietness
What could be improved: It is not that I don’t like, is just an observation… you cannot prepare anything to eat inside (there is nothing kitchen-like available). There is a coffee machine in the lobby and tea cups, also some croissants offered by the host, but if you want to have breakfast inside or a desert, or else, you have to buy also / ask for cutlery or dishes…A perfect stay in a quiet, well-located villa – Adrian from Romania – August 18, 2025 (10/10)
By far the best location and value for money! The apartment exceeded our expectations, better and more affordable than some 5-star hotels. In just 15 minutes, you can reach the historic center or enjoy a walk in the nearby hilltop park. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, making it perfect for weekend getaways or city breaks. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting.
What could be improved: The only small issue was that I couldn’t adjust the shower cabin water to be cooler, the water was to hot for me, so I used the jacuzzi instead, which turned out to be a nice alternative.Overall good accommodation – Andreea from Romania – August 11, 2025 (9/10)
We choose this accommodation because it was right next to the children hospital where we needed to be, so for us it was 10/10 in terms of location. Anyhow the location is good, not very busy street, we found parking easily on the street in front of the property. Very clean, easy access. Horea street very close and there you can find a lot of shops, coffee places etc
What could be improved: Everything was okFantastic place to stay – Benjamin from United Kingdom – July 12, 2025 (10/10)
Fantastic in every way. A beautiful, period property on the edge of the city centre – tastefully decorated, clean, and comfortable. Close to all major attractions in the city, the Park with stunning panoramic views, and within a 10 min walk of the main train station, so all very easy. The room itself was a good size, the bed was comfortable, the TV had a range of shows and channels and networks. Having the snacks and tea coffee station in the foyer was an added bonus. Staff (the lady I interacted with) were very helpful, friendly, and also able to communicate very promptly via Booking Messaging feature and SMS. A pleasure to stay and would not hesitate to recommend.

Nice neighbourhood, big rooms, pleasant host, coffee and tea always available, with some snakes at the entrance… even umbrella in case if you need it. Everything clean.

Nice location, at walking distance from the city centre and railway station.
Very clean room, however l personally did not like the black bedsheets.
Water, coffee, tea and snacks offered, in a very nice gesture.
Very good communication with staff.
