Here’s what I love about staying on Republicii — you’re literally walking distance from everything that matters in Cluj. The old town is just a few minutes on foot, and you know what? You’ll find yourself discovering those little side streets with hidden cafes and vintage shops that make this city so special. I mean, you can grab morning coffee and pastries without even thinking about it, then wander over to the main square whenever the mood strikes.

The Room Experience

My room was honestly more spacious than I expected for a three-star place in the city center. Nothing fancy, but everything worked properly — good WiFi, decent shower pressure, and windows that actually opened (which sounds basic but trust me, it’s not always guaranteed). The bed was comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up with that hotel-bed backache, and there was enough space to spread out my stuff without feeling cramped.

What Makes It Work

The staff here genuinely seem to care about helping guests figure out Cluj — they’ll point you toward the better local spots instead of just the obvious tourist traps. There’s parking available if you’re driving, which can be a real headache in this part of the city otherwise.   The property itself was lovely, clean, had the facilities you needed etc.
  
  What could be improved: The person who answered the phone number at the reception however talk to me unprofessional, referring to me as “boy” although I am a man in his 30s, and using informal language in Romanian. Otherwise the place was good to stay.

  The room was spacious, clean, warm (as outside was cold), parking spaces in front of the building, common kitchen area. Close to the bothanical garden and 15 minutes from the center.

  In the last day of my leisure time it was the Christmas.Everywhere was closed and i had my bus on evening.After my check out he said me i can stay in the room with my luggage.It was cool.He saved me that stay in the cold with my luggages.Also when i come here the check in time 14.00 but i dropped my luggage in the morning.
  
  What could be improved: He doesn’t know english.Only romanian he speaks.Also he was like not concerning in his job.There are two hostels for him.I went the wrong one but that’s not my fault.In the app it shows me like this.Then when i call him he didn’t interested it with me much.
