First Impressions

Downtown Oasis-city Center caught me completely off guard — honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from a three-star place tucked away on Strada Brassai Sámuel, but this little gem proved me wrong within minutes of walking through the door. The lobby has this clean, modern vibe that feels way more polished than the star rating suggests, and the staff actually seemed genuinely happy to see guests arrive.

Perfect Cluj-Napoca Location

You know what’s brilliant about this spot? You’re literally a five-minute walk from Union Square and all the main action in Cluj-Napoca, but Brassai Sámuel street itself is surprisingly quiet at night. I mean, you get the best of both worlds — easy access to the old town’s restaurants and bars, but you can actually sleep without earplugs. The street has this authentic Romanian neighborhood feel, with local cafés and small shops that tourists usually miss completely.

The Room Experience

My room was compact but really well thought out — every inch of space actually serves a purpose here. The bed was surprisingly comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses), and they’ve got decent blackout curtains that actually work. What impressed me most was the attention to detail: proper reading lights, enough outlets where you need them, and a bathroom that doesn’t feel like an afterthought.

Dining and Amenities

There’s no on-site restaurant, which might bother some people, but honestly? You’re in Cluj-Napoca — step outside and you’ve got incredible Romanian cuisine within walking distance. The hotel does provide a simple breakfast that hits the spot, and there’s a small common area where you can grab coffee throughout the day. Parking is available nearby, though like most European city centers, it’s not exactly cheap.

Why Guests Love It

Here’s the thing about Downtown Oasis-city Center — it delivers exactly what it promises without trying to be something it’s not. The 9.3 rating makes total sense once you spend a night here; it’s clean, comfortable, and the location is absolutely perfect for exploring Cluj-Napoca on foot. The value for money is honestly exceptional, especially considering how much you’d pay for similar quality in other European cities.

  The location is great, the apartment is beautiful and very clean. The bed comfy. There is a table and two chairs outside the apartment which is lovely for breakfast.
  I would definitely book again.
  
  What could be improved: There is a giant TV in the living room but it is not a smart one.
  So if you don't speak romanian is kinda useless. ( Fortunately there is a very small smart TV in the bedroom).
  Some tea towels would be useful in the kitchen. I had to use a shower towel.
  Probably some linen which actually covers the mattress ( I have noticed that often happens in eastern europe )

  The location was easy to find thanks to the detailed instructions of our host. The apartment stands out with its beautiful design in Bauhaus style. You can see that the furniture and the decorations were picked carefully and tastefully by the hosts. We also liked the fact that there were actually two TVs (a huge one in the living room, and another small one near the bed). The speed of the WiFi was amazing.
  
  What could be improved: The dishwasher in the kitchen was unfortunately out of order, but it was not a problem since we only stayed two nights.

  A fost o experiență plăcută! Cazarea arată ca în poze, bine amenajată, curată, spațioasă, confortabilă. Comunicarea cu gazdele a fost foarte bună. Locația foarte bună, în apropierea multor atracții și puncte importante.
  
  What could be improved: Am avut câteva bătăi de cap cu ușa de la intrare, are un mecanism puțin mai dificil, dar nu e un inconvenient mare.

  Un loc superb. Localizat în centrul orașului, condițiile foarte bune, apartament spațios, gazdă primitoare. Cu siguranță vom mai reveni.☺️
  
  What could be improved: Bucătăria ar avea nevoie de mai multe ustensile pentru a ușura gătitul, am întâmpinat mici dificultăți descurcându-ne. Niște ustensile de lemn pentru a găti în tigaie/oala, un polonic, răzătoare pentru cașcaval… Cu toate acestea, ne-am descurcat si fără ele, doar ca putin mai greu. În rest, nimic de obiectat, un loc minunat!
