You’re staying in a real neighborhood, not some touristy bubble, and once you’re inside apartment 33, you realize this four-star property gets the balance just right.

The Space

This isn’t your typical hotel room — it’s more like borrowing a friend’s really well-designed apartment. The space feels modern without being sterile, and everything actually works properly (you know how rare that can be). The kitchen is fully equipped, which means you can grab fresh ingredients from the local markets and cook if you want, though honestly, Cluj’s food scene might tempt you out most nights.

Location Reality

Here’s what I found useful — you’re about a 15-minute walk from the old town center, but the neighborhood itself has this authentic Romanian residential vibe that most visitors never experience. There’s a small grocery store practically next door, and the locals are genuinely friendly once they realize you’re not just another tourist passing through. The parking situation is actually manageable here, which anyone who’s driven in Cluj will appreciate.

What Works Daily

The WiFi is solid (I worked from here without issues), and the place stays surprisingly quiet despite being in an apartment building. Mornings are particularly nice — you can make coffee in your own space and plan your day without rushing through a hotel breakfast buffet. The host responds quickly when you need something, but mostly you won’t need to bother them because everything just functions as it should.

Why Guests Love It

With a 9.6 rating, G33 Pad clearly hits the mark for most visitors, and I get why. It’s that sweet spot between having your own space and getting solid hospitality. You’re living like a local but with all the amenities sorted out for you. Plus, Cluj-Napoca itself is still somewhat under the radar compared to Bucharest or Brasov, so you get to experience a Romanian city that feels authentic rather than overly polished for tourists. The value here is honestly pretty impressive for what you get.

  We spent several weeks in the apartment, and the host was incredibly welcoming. When we encountered a hot water issue due to street pipe work, he came the same day to solve it. He also helped us in arranging an emergency meeting with a physiotherapist.

  I stayed for 4 night in the apartment. The apartment is really clean, cozy and comfortable. It has a great view from the balcony and a nice vibe. The bed is comfortable and the area is really quite and silent. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessary. The washing machine is working perfectly. The house is in a brilliant location, easily connected by bus and not far from the center. Most of all, Cristian is an excellent host, kind as much as you can imagine, and ready to help you whenever you want and for whatever you need in your stay. I absolutely recommend the stay!

  Totul la superlativ. Gazda extrem de primitoare, apartamentul dotat cu absolut tot ce este necesar, zona foarte bună, liniștită, dar bine conectată la mijloacele de transport în comun. Totul a fost perfect.
