First Impressions

When I first walked into Galant Apartments, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from what looked like a standard residential building on Victor Babeș Street. But you know what? Sometimes the best places are the ones that surprise you. This four-star property has that rare combination of feeling both polished and genuinely homey — something I’ve found pretty hard to come by in Cluj-Napoca.

The Apartment Experience

What really sets this place apart is how they’ve designed each apartment to actually feel like a temporary home rather than just a hotel room. The kitchen setup is honestly impressive — not one of those tiny kitchenettes where you can barely make coffee, but a proper space where you could actually cook a decent meal if you wanted to. I mean, after a few days of Romanian restaurant food (delicious as it is), sometimes you just want to make your own breakfast, right?

Location & Getting Around

Here’s the thing about staying on Victor Babeș — you’re close enough to everything that matters, but far enough from the tourist chaos to actually get some sleep. The old town is maybe a 15-minute walk, which I actually preferred to being right in the thick of things. Plus, there’s decent parking here, and if you’ve ever tried to park near Piața Unirii, you’ll know why that’s a big deal.

What Makes It Work

The staff here genuinely seem to care about getting things right, which you can tell from small details — like how they actually stock the apartments with decent coffee and proper towels that don’t feel like sandpaper. The 9.9 rating makes sense when you experience this level of attention firsthand. It’s not flashy or over-the-top, just consistently well-executed in ways that matter when you’re staying somewhere for more than a night or two.

What really won me over was the flexibility this place offers — you can live like a local when you want to, but still have that hotel-level cleanliness and service when you need it. Whether you’re in Cluj for business or exploring Transylvania, Galant Apartments gives you a proper base without the stuffiness of traditional hotels.   The apartment was spacious, furnished to the highest standard, and the balcony had a wonderful view of the entire city.
  
  What could be improved: The elevator to the underground parking garage is small and limited to 3,000 kg, making it unsuitable for larger or heavier vehicles. The garage itself is extremely narrow, and entering or exiting the elevator requires cumbersome maneuvering, as the wall opposite the door is barely 5 meters away.

  The apartment was very modern and beautiful. The bed was very comfortable, and so was the sofa, to our surprise.
  We also had a lovely view and we're greeted with a basket of coffee and sweets.
  The location is perfect, close enough to both the Botanical Gardens and the city center.

  Apartamentull este foarte frumos , amenajat si decorat cu mult bun gust. Faptul ca ofera parcare in centrul Clujului este o facilitate foarte importanta.

  Locația este foarte aproape de centrul orașului. Apartamentul a fost foarte curat, cu toate facilitățile necesare unui sejur reușit. Locul de parcare a fost un mare plus pentru noi. Cu siguranță vom reveni!
