This four-star property overlooks one of the city’s most peaceful spots — Gheorgheni Lake — which means you’re getting those water views without the downtown noise. The building itself has this clean, modern look that doesn’t try too hard, and when you walk in, there’s this immediate sense of calm that you don’t always find in city hotels.

The Room Experience

My room faced the lake (definitely request one if you can), and I spent way more time than I should have just watching the light change on the water throughout the day. The space itself is thoughtfully designed — not huge, but everything has its place. The bed was genuinely comfortable, and the bathroom had one of those rainfall showers that actually works properly. You know what I appreciated most? The blackout curtains actually blocked out light, which seems basic but you’d be surprised how many places get this wrong.

Location & Getting Around

Here’s the thing about Cluj-Napoca — it’s compact enough that you can walk to most places, but Strada Sarmisegetuza gives you this nice buffer from the busier central areas. The old town is maybe a 15-minute walk, which means you can easily explore the main sights during the day and come back to something quieter in the evening. There’s decent parking if you’re driving, though honestly, you won’t need a car much once you’re settled in the city.

The hotel restaurant focuses on Romanian dishes with a modern twist — I had this incredible ciorbă de burtă that was way more refined than the traditional version but still felt authentic. Breakfast was solid too, with local cheeses and fresh bread that made early mornings actually enjoyable. They’ve got a small spa area that’s perfect after a day of walking around the city’s cobblestone streets (your feet will thank you).

What really sets Lake View apart is that 9.8 rating, and after staying there, I get it. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town — it’s just doing everything really well. The staff genuinely seems to care about your experience, the location gives you both tranquility and access, and there’s this overall attention to detail that makes the whole stay feel effortless.   The accommodation was beautiful, just like in the photos. Everything exceeded our expectations, and the view was absolutely wonderful. Communication with the hosts was super easy — they are really helpful people. The only small inconvenience was when picking up the keys at check-in — there’s no place to leave the car briefly, so you might block the traffic for a moment, as it happened to us.

  Privelistea superba de la etajul 6, apartamentul dragut si cozy si faptul ca are iesire spre lac.
  
  What could be improved: Parcarea, trebuie sa intri cu masina intr-un lift foarte stramt si intunecos, sa cobori la subsol. E foarte intruneric si in lift, nu vezi nimic. daca ai masina mai mare, trebuie sa fii foarte bun sa intri asa milimetric in lift. Si asta nu scrie in descriere, daca am fi stiut, nu cred daca am mai fi luat aceasta cazare. Era cat pe ce sa ne zgariem masina. Cel mai tare ne-a deranjat ca era intuneric.

  Locație de vis! Imaginile prezentate sunt reale, curățenie, ambient plăcut. Priveliștea de la balconul dinspre lac te încarcă de energie! Răsăritul se vede excepțional. În cel de-al doilea balcon se iese din ambele camere și este orientat către bulevard. Portița din spatele curții interioare îți oferă acces către Iulius Mall care este la 10 min de mers lejer pe jos. Liniște, cu excepția zgomotului de la avioane, dar pe care noi le-am adorat și nu ne-au deranjat. Parcarea subterană este un avantaj. Am lăsat în urmă Clujul și locația, cu dorința de a reveni! Mulțumim pentru tot!❤️🤗

  Absolut superb , toate facilitățile, curățenie, apartantul este spațios și luminos , terasa cu vedere spre lac este absolut superbă, relaxare totala , magazine in zona la 5 minute de mers pe jos , parcul de langa lac este superb , activități , muzica , tot ce îți poți dori !

  Locație excelenta situată lângă un lac superb si Iulius mall lângă ( se ajunge repede pe jos) . Cod de acces la portița din spatele blocului pt a intra la lac.
  Doua balcoane mari cu peisaj de vis. In apartament am găsit tot ce ai nevoie.. vesela , doua tv mari , masa de călcat , fier de călcat, uscător par,parcare cu lift la subsol, instrucțiuni corecte, totul f bine! Dacă vom mai veni la Cluj , cu siguranța vom caza tot aici.

  Ne-am bucurat de câteva zile în Cluj-Napoca intr-un mediu plăcut.
  Apartamentul e situat într-un bloc pe malul lacului și la câteva minute de mers pe jos pana la mall.
  
  Puncte forte:
  – situat intr-o zona bună, în apropiere de mall și stație de autobuz
  – apartamentul e curat și sunt disponibile facilitățile necesare unei familii
  – paturile au fost confortabile
  – loc de parcare asigurat
  
  Cu siguranță am reveni.
  
  What could be improved: Doar ca atenționare, locul de parcare e accesibil cu liftul pentru mașini. Pentru noi nu a fost o problema. 😊 Copiii au fost încântați.
