What I really appreciate about the location is how it puts you right in the mix of things without being on some crazy busy street. Calea Motilor connects you easily to the historic center, but you’re also close to some of the newer parts of Cluj-Napoca that locals actually hang out in. There’s this great coffee culture in the area, and you’ll find yourself walking to places rather than always needing transport.

The Practical Stuff

The three-star rating might seem modest, but honestly, that works in the hotel’s favor — there’s no pretense here, just solid execution of what matters. Staff actually know the city well and can point you toward things that aren’t in every guidebook. Parking is handled properly too, which anyone who’s driven in Romanian cities will tell you is worth mentioning.

  I was very happy about the room. It was simple, but had all I needed and more (like a hair dryer and iron). The location is great – in the centre. I received instructions on how to get there on Whatsapp and the host was responsive.
  
  What could be improved: Minor room for improvement: Even though the shower had a curtain it got wet on the floor. There was only one universal soap/shower gel. I can imagine having soap at the bathroom sink, a shower gel in the shower and a shampoo.
