The bathroom was modern enough, though nothing fancy, and the shower had proper pressure (you’d be surprised how often that’s not the case). What struck me was the attention to small details — good lighting for reading, enough outlets in the right places, and blackout curtains that actually block light.

The restaurant serves solid Romanian and international dishes, though I found myself venturing out most evenings because Cluj’s food scene is too good to miss. The staff seemed genuinely helpful rather than just going through the motions, which made those early morning starts much more pleasant.

  What could be improved: The staff communicated very poorly through booking.com – I received no answers to my queries and had to call them by phone. After my call I was promised to get a code to the building through e-mail and did not receive it. The bathroom was very tiny, the recycle bin was very, very small. The room had a poor acoustic insulation and the street was very noisy. The location of the hotel is not good for a holiday trip.
