But honestly, that’s part of its charm — this four-star gem is tucked away on the first floor of a classic building, and once you’re inside, it feels like you’ve discovered someone’s incredibly stylish secret hideaway. The industrial-meets-cozy aesthetic hits you immediately, with exposed brick walls and modern furnishings that actually make sense together.

This isn’t your typical hotel room — it’s a proper loft that gives you space to breathe. The open-plan design means you’re not cramped into a tiny box like so many places in Cluj-Napoca, and there’s something refreshing about having actual room to spread out your stuff. The kitchen area is well-equipped too, which I appreciated since Romanian breakfast spots don’t always open early, and sometimes you just want to make your own coffee without hunting down a café.

Location That Actually Works

You know what I love about this spot? It’s close enough to the action that you can walk to the main square in about fifteen minutes, but far enough out that you’re not dealing with the weekend party noise that echoes through the Old Town. The neighborhood has this lived-in feel — there’s a decent grocery store nearby, and you’ll pass locals going about their daily business rather than just tourists with cameras.

The Details That Matter

The Wi-Fi actually works (I mean, properly works, not that frustrating hotel internet that cuts out every ten minutes), and the shower has real water pressure. Look, these might seem like basic things, but after staying in places where these are hit-or-miss, you start to appreciate when someone gets the fundamentals right. The bed is comfortable without being so soft you sink into oblivion, and there are enough outlets placed where you actually need them.

  Great localisation – very close to center. Near main cathedral. Lovely view to cathedral roof at night.
  Very good standard of equipment.
  Aircondition – must have in summer – certainly available.
  Street before the loft is currently under reconstruction – after finish it will be beautiful.
  If it happen to come to Cluj again – this will be my first choice of accomodation to look for. The owner is very kind and very helpful.
  
  What could be improved: There were nothing to complain. Only one thing which could be adjusted – it would be good to put there microwave oven – sometimes it is best option to fast heat the food. However there is available standard induction heating plate.
