Here’s what I love about the location — you can walk to pretty much everything worth seeing in Cluj-Napoca’s center, but you’re not dealing with the noise and chaos of being right on the main drag. There’s this fantastic local bakery literally around the corner that opens early (perfect for grabbing fresh pastries), and the evening crowd tends to be more locals heading home than rowdy bar-hoppers. The tram connections are solid too, so getting to other parts of the city is straightforward without needing to navigate traffic.

The Details That Matter

The staff here actually knows the neighborhood — not just the obvious tourist spots, but where to find good coffee at 7 AM or which restaurant serves the best local dishes without the tourist markup. Parking can be tricky in this part of town (as it is anywhere in the old center), but they’ve sorted out arrangements that work better than most places. The Wi-Fi is reliable, the heating works properly in winter, and there’s enough storage space that you’re not living out of your suitcase for longer stays.

  Everything is perfect. Clean and spacious apartment, communicative and friendly host, giant balcony, great location (next to modern offices and 10, 15 minutes away on foot from the centre). Quiet neighborhood. This is our second stay here and I can't see us ever choosing something else whenever we're in Cluj (which is usually twice a year).

  Great stay, everything is new and very cosy! The residence is new. Due to a health issue we had to leave the apartment 2 hours later than we ere supposed to and the host was very helpful with that. Beds are comfortable, and the kitchen had everything you need.

  It was a brand new apartment, with very good quality furniture, equipment and accessories (well above the typical Romanian average). We especially appreciated the mattresses (also well above average).
  
  What could be improved: The nearby construction yard was not quite a romantic view from the balcony. The cleaning lady missed the oven and the stovetop – nevertheless the apartment and the accessories were very clean overall.

  The apartment is even better than shown on the pictures. It's spotlessly clean, everything has been thought of, there was nothing we missed (maybe a hoover). Everything worked as expected.
  There are small shops and bakeries around where you can buy fresh bread for breakfast.
  The city center is reached within a 15 minute walk. The parking lot is spacious and save.
  The building site opposite of the house was a little annoying, but the windows are sound proof. Our children used it as "TV" 😀
  
  What could be improved: The elevator made scary noises, but that's hardly the landlords fault.

  I always try and leave succinct and straight-forward reviews to help others; but I'm almost at a loss for words with how awesome this place was. I booked this for my fiancee and my parents because we love Cluj (we want to move here). Firstly, the apartment is truly clean (at the end of the trip, we always dread to look under the bed to see if we lost something, but this was squeaky clean in every corner). It's also very modern, spacious and everything works. There are 3 giant smart TV's (one for each room), AC in every room, all amenities you can think of, a large balcony overlooking a quiet neighbourhood, two bathrooms with modern showers (top 5 water temperature controls I've experienced in any accommodation's shower).
  
  The location was great. Some people might not like staying a little outside the centre – this is hardly outside. It's a mere 15 minute walk to the centre (25 to the main square), but the walk is through a very quiet and nice part of town. There are also plenty of hip coffee places & breakfast options in the area, plus a supermarket downstairs.
  
  The host was kind and answered all our questions quickly. The price was incredibly reasonable and the value for money is one of the best we've ever had. You'd easily pay 2x for a hotel of similar quality in Cluj and you'd pay 3x for an apartment this size & quality in the UK, France, etc…
  
  We visited 28 countries, stayed in hundreds of accommodations ranging from hostels to 5 star hotels and this is probably the best experience we've had.
