First Impressions

When I first walked into Central Comfort, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from a four-star place — but this hotel completely changed my mind about Cluj-Napoca. The lobby has this understated elegance that feels genuinely welcoming rather than trying too hard. You know what struck me most? The staff actually remembered my name after the first conversation, which doesn’t happen often these days.

Perfect Location

The location on Strada Ploiești is actually brilliant if you know the city a bit. You’re close enough to the old town that it’s maybe a 10-minute walk to Union Square, but far enough away that you don’t deal with the weekend crowds stumbling around at 2 AM. I mean, there’s a decent coffee shop literally next door, and the tram stop is right there if you want to explore further out — honestly, I walked most places because everything felt so accessible.

The Room Experience

My room was on the third floor facing the street, and I was worried about noise, but the windows are surprisingly good at keeping things quiet. The bed was properly comfortable (not just hotel-marketing comfortable), and they’ve got this smart setup where the lighting actually makes sense for reading or working. The bathroom’s compact but well-designed — I particularly liked that they provided decent toiletries rather than those tiny bottles that run out after one shower.

Dining and Amenities

The breakfast situation deserves a mention because it’s way better than you’d expect from a mid-range hotel. They’ve got fresh pastries from a local bakery, proper coffee, and the usual suspects done well rather than just done. There isn’t a full restaurant on-site, but honestly, you’re in Cluj — you want to be eating at the amazing places within walking distance anyway. The front desk folks are goldmines of restaurant recommendations, by the way.

What really sets Central Comfort apart is how it gets the fundamentals right without any fuss. The 9.7 rating makes sense when you experience how smoothly everything runs — from the reliable WiFi to the fact that housekeeping doesn’t wake you up at 7 AM. It’s the kind of place where you can actually relax and use it as a proper base for exploring the city, rather than just somewhere to crash between tourist activities.

  Locatia are amplasare foarte buna. In apropiere sunt mai multe supermarketuri si un fast food cu program non-stop, ceea ce este excelent atunci cand participi la activitati estivale (festivaluri de muzica, film etc).

  Sunt o mare fana a pietei din zona si am apreciat ca era langa aceasta. De asemea magazine, cafenele, localuri pe strada.
  Util daca ai nevoie de parcarea inclusa.
  Stiind bine orasul in 10-15 minute am ajuns pe jos oriunde am avut treaba.
  Luminos si cu balcon.
  Dotari bune, de mare folos aragazul, lift pentru cand ai bagaje, curat, pat comod, foarte practic self check in.
  Desi nu am folosit-o, e f bine ca sunt masina de spalat si capsule de detergent.
  
  What could be improved: Aparent niste fosti clienti plecasera cu ibricul si canile 🙈, desi nu sunt ceva obligatoriu de cum am semnalat a doua zi la prima ora cineva imi adusese jos un ibric pentru cafea( mare plus ca nu m-a trezit) si pentru cafea si ceai m-am descurcat cu cescutele din mers.
  
  Desi nu tine de proprietari( probabil e un sistem de administrare proprietati) in cladire de la vecini se mai lasa gunoiul in fata usii incaperii cu pubelele, pe zi cand aveam sedinte online se mai auzea cateva minute o bordmasina, nimic insa ingrijorator.
  
  As fi apreciat poate un mop in baie dat fiind ca suportul de la dus face ca apa sa mearga mult in sus si apoi sa curga pe langa cada, insa am improvizat spre a curata cu o rezerva textila cat sa fie ok, daca era bai mare anuntam si cert as fi primit sprijin.

  Apartamentul este impecabil de curat, totul nou și foarte bine întreținut. Locația este perfectă, aproape de Piața Unirii, ideală pentru explorarea orașului. Gazda a fost extrem de primitoare, atentă și cu un video easy asupra locației și cheii din lockbox. Siguranța apartamentului este un mare plus, iar patul… absolut fantastic, super moale și confortabil! Cu siguranță recomand și voi reveni cu drag când voi merge la Cluj!

  Locatie excelenta pentru orice zona a Clujului ati vrea sa accesati, curatenie,lenjerii si prosoape impecabile, am putut face check-inul mai devreme la cerere, informatiile pt a ajunge la locatie si a accesa cheile oferite din belsug de catre gazda prin sms, booking, mail, in apartament ai absolut tot ce iti trebuie, zona linistita.
