Strada Fagului sits on a gentle hillside (hence the name), giving you this nice elevated feeling without being too far from everything. The walk to the historic center takes about 15 minutes, but there’s decent public transport if you’re not feeling the uphill return journey.

The Space

This isn’t your standard hotel room setup — you get a proper living area that flows naturally into a well-equipped kitchen space. I mean, having a full refrigerator and cooking facilities changed my entire travel routine here. The bedroom feels separate enough for privacy, and honestly, the attention to detail in the furnishings impressed me. Everything from the lighting to the bathroom fixtures feels intentionally chosen, not just grabbed from a hotel supply catalog.

The owners clearly understand what travelers actually need versus what hotels think we want. There’s reliable Wi-Fi throughout (I worked from here several days without issues), plenty of storage space, and — this might sound small — but good water pressure in the shower. The parking situation is sorted too, which anyone who’s driven in Cluj-Napoca will appreciate. You know what really got me though? The local neighborhood recommendations they provided were spot-on, including this little bakery around the corner that locals frequent.

  The apartment was wonderful, fully equipped with everything we needed. I really liked the desk area, where you can have breakfast and read a book in the morning, perfect for relaxation. It was also quite close to the city center and to Cluj arena if you go by car. Would definitely recommend it for a trip to Cluj!
  
  What could be improved: When we arrived there was a weird smell coming from the bathroom, but after the window was left open more it started to fade.

  It’s a large flat with a well equipped kitchen. The balcony have an office so you can work from there.

  Kényelmes és praktikus kis ház. Ott tartózkodásunk alatt semmit nem hiányoltunk. Nagyon könnyen és érthetően kommunikált a tulaj, és hamar reagált a felmerülő kérdésekre.

  El conjunto, simplemente maravilloso.
  Todo estaba cuidado, era cómodo, agradable, acogedor, práctico, funcional. Además la comunicación con el dueño era fluida, fácil y siempre con una total amabilidad por su parte. Me he sentido con la máxima comodidad, como en casa, durante dos semanas. Y además el dueño estaba pendiente de lo que pudiese necesitar en cuanto a equipación .
  La zona es muy tranquila, facilitando al máximo tanto el descanso como mi trabajo de lectura, estudio y escritura. Me gustaría volver aquí en mis futuros viajes a Cluj.
  
  What could be improved: Detalles que yo mismo pude solucionar sin mayor dificultad y que no restaron nada significativo del excelente balance general: tuve que comprar cucharas de plástico; eché de menos la secadora (entonces en reparación); y había algunos olores a humedad (en la lavadora y los trapos de cocina). Pero quiero insistir: el balance global es indudablemente muy positivo
