When I first walked up to this three-star property on Strada Zorilor, I wasn’t expecting much, but the 9.7 rating started making sense the moment I stepped inside.

Zorilor is one of those neighborhoods in Cluj-Napoca that locals love but tourists often miss. You’re about a 15-minute walk from the old town center, which means you get that authentic Romanian residential vibe without being stuck in the middle of nowhere. There’s a decent grocery store just down the street, and I noticed quite a few university students around — makes sense since this area is popular with the academic crowd.

The Space

What I really appreciated was how they’ve set up each unit with a proper kitchen. I mean, when you’re traveling for more than a few days, being able to make your own coffee in the morning or heat up some leftovers from that amazing Romanian restaurant you discovered — it makes a difference. The room itself felt spacious, not cramped like so many European accommodations. Everything was clean, modern, but not sterile if you know what I mean.

Practical Considerations

Here’s something that’ll matter if you’re driving — parking in Cluj-Napoca can be a real headache, but this place has it sorted. The hosts were actually super helpful about explaining the local transport options too. You’ve got buses that’ll get you downtown easily, though honestly, the walk isn’t bad when the weather’s decent. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly, which I always worry about in residential areas.

Why Guests Love It

That 9.7 rating isn’t a fluke. It’s the little things — like how the place actually feels homey without being someone’s messy personal space. The hosts clearly put thought into what travelers actually need, not just what looks good in photos. Plus, you’re getting genuine value here; this kind of space and comfort would cost you significantly more in the city center, and you’d probably be dealing with tourist crowds right outside your window.

  Home from home for sure. Had absolutely everything you need, even a range of perfumes/cologne. Can't fault it. Extra things like aluminium foil, coffee, milks, teas. Very comfy. Good security. Would recommend it for sure. Parking directly outside the apartment on the main or side road. Good wifi. 3 tvs. 2 balconies.
  
  What could be improved: Had to walk up to the 8th floor (top floor), no lift. This would be a big issue for anyone with poor mobily/elderly etc. Ceiling light didn't work in one of bedrooms. Would recommend having bedside lights in that room. Washing machine rocked really badly (needs better machine or better feet to secure it on a spin).
