Walking up to this three-star property on Progresului Street, I wasn’t expecting much, but there’s something refreshingly straightforward about the place that immediately put me at ease. The lobby’s got this clean, modern vibe without trying too hard, and the staff actually seemed genuinely happy to see guests arrive.

Location & Getting Around

Here’s what I love about the location — you’re in Cluj-Napoca but not drowning in tourist chaos. Progresului is one of those streets where you get a real feel for how locals live, with small shops and cafés that aren’t just there for show. The city center is totally walkable from here, maybe 15 minutes if you’re taking your time, and honestly, that walk through the residential areas gives you way more character than staying right in the thick of things.

The Room Experience

My room was exactly what I needed — nothing fancy, but everything worked perfectly. The bed was surprisingly comfortable (you know how hit-or-miss that can be), and the bathroom was spotless with decent water pressure. What really impressed me was the attention to small details — proper blackout curtains, enough outlets near the bed, and a mini-fridge that actually kept things cold. Sometimes it’s the basics done right that matter most.

Breakfast happens in a cozy dining area that feels more like someone’s well-appointed home than a hotel restaurant. They keep it simple but fresh — local cheeses, decent coffee, and pastries that aren’t sitting under heat lamps all morning. I actually found myself lingering over coffee longer than usual, which says something about the atmosphere. The parking situation is straightforward too — they’ve got spots available, which in Cluj-Napoca is honestly a relief.

  The rooms (including the bathroom) were very spacious, and spotlessly clean. The staff were helpful, and we appreciated the free parking spot.

  Big room and clean and modern bathroom. Mini fridge , TV. Close to bus stop to airport and centrum. Reception are 24 h but at night you must do self entry with code ( they sent vídeo tutorial). Good breakfast. Helpful staff

  The room was nice and big, spacious. Bed was comfortable. Shower had good hot water. Breakfast provided was plentiful and had hot and cold selections.
  
  What could be improved: No kettle to make tea or coffee in the room. No telephone to speak to reception. It is a bit of a distance to old town, where all the nice cafes are and a bit more to look at.

  Clean and large room. Very friendly team. They send clear instruction for self-check in, as I arrived past midnight. Location outside the historic center, which is easily reachable by bus.
