You’re on Gruia street, which means you get that local neighborhood feel without being stuck in the middle of nowhere. The old town is maybe a 15-minute walk, and honestly, it’s a pleasant stroll through some genuinely charming streets. I mean, you could grab a taxi or use the local transport, but walking gives you a better sense of the city’s rhythm.

The Room Experience

My room was surprisingly spacious — I’d actually booked expecting something cramped, but they’ve made smart use of the space. The bed was comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d wrestled with it all night, and the bathroom had this rain shower that worked properly (you know how hotel showers can be hit or miss). What struck me was the attention to small details — good lighting for reading, enough outlets where you actually need them, and blackout curtains that really work.

The breakfast setup isn’t huge, but it’s thoughtfully done. You’ve got your typical continental spread, plus some Romanian touches that feel authentic rather than touristy. The coffee was actually good — not that bitter hotel coffee that makes you wince. They don’t have a full restaurant on-site, but honestly, you’re in Cluj-Napoca where amazing local spots are everywhere within walking distance.

For the price point, you’re getting genuine value rather than just budget accommodation.

  Great location between the railway station and the Citadel Hill. Aircon was excellent. We had big windows towatds the seven-way junction, but our room was sound-proof and we slept well. The neighbourhood was quiet, and the street towards city center offered an enjoyable walk.
