First Impressions

When I first stepped into Lun Apartment on the sixth floor of a building on Bulevardul 21 Decembrie 1989, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect. The elevator ride up gave me time to wonder if I’d made the right choice, but the moment the door opened, I knew I’d stumbled onto something special. This four-star place has that warm, lived-in feeling that makes you forget you’re staying in temporary accommodation — it’s more like crashing at a friend’s really well-appointed place.

Location & Getting Around

You know what’s great about this spot in Cluj-Napoca? It’s tucked away on a residential street that actually feels like where locals live, not some tourist bubble. The building itself is solid and quiet — none of that paper-thin wall nonsense you sometimes get with apartment stays. I found myself walking to the city center in about fifteen minutes, which meant I could duck back whenever I wanted to drop off shopping bags or just take a breather from sightseeing.

The Space Itself

The room layout really works — whoever designed this place thought about how people actually move through a space. There’s this nice flow from the entrance to the living area, and the kitchen is properly equipped, not just for show. I mean, I actually cooked a couple of meals here because everything I needed was there, from decent cookware to a full-sized fridge. The whole place feels bigger than it probably is, thanks to smart furniture choices and plenty of natural light streaming in.

Comfort & Practical Details

Honestly, the bed situation surprised me — really comfortable mattress and proper pillows, not those flat things that feel like they’ve been around since 1989. The bathroom is spotless and modern, with good water pressure and a shower that’s actually big enough to move around in. Parking was straightforward too, which is always a relief when you’re navigating a new city with a rental car. Little things like reliable Wi-Fi and blackout curtains made a real difference during my stay.

I get why this place scores a 9.7 rating — it’s that rare combination of being genuinely comfortable while still feeling authentic to the city. There’s no pretense here, no trying to be something it’s not. You’re staying in a real neighborhood, in a space that works for both quick overnight stops and longer stays where you want to settle in a bit. The whole experience just flows naturally, from check-in to that slightly sad moment when you have to pack up and leave.

  Impeccable accommodation , spotlessly clean, everything looked new ,I ve had the strange feeling of being one of the very first to enter the space.
  Close to eateries, grocery shops,market just over the corner , non stop shops and farmacies and not far from the City Centre.
  My favourite was the small but nice balcony , spent literally Hours in there.
  Excellent communication and seamless with the owner ,acces by code , nice, elegant, effective.
  Would love to come back , it looks like it s hardly available.
